A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.

This started out as one photo a day for 365 days, starting on 1st January 2011. My life. But due to me being layzee I've decided to just stretch it out to every few days!! Sorry if I have dissapointed anyone but life is just to crazy. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :)

Cameron might not be so happy when he sees this in ten years time. But he thoroughly enjoyed his sister's sequined headband today.

It is believed that the therapeutic benefits of Aloe Vera date back over 4000 years. The very earliest record of Aloe Vera was found on a Sumerian tablet that dates back to 2100 BC.

Look closely, you have to have a good eye to be able to spot the newest member of our household. This stick insect was on our front fence. He is about 120mm long, and could even be a female?! If anyone can identify this type of stick insect we would be most appreciative :) Also have yet to name our little friend so I am open to suggestions!

Trois Twin Trimodes
Mine is on the right. The others belong to the daycare ladies, who seem to be a fan of this great people mover! Great for getting out and about when you have a lot of little munchkins :)

Jessi our kitten wanted to go for a walk with us today. Corey rode his bike and the cat followed us nearly all the way to kindy. Then a bunch of school kids walked past and scared her off. I had to drive back after and search for her in a shed where she was having a nap. I think next time she decides to follow us for a walk I will bring a lead. Do cats go on leads?

This little girl is the best eater in our whole house. She always eats whatever I serve her up. Today she ate all her pasta while two of her brothers barely even touched theirs.

Big party on the beach last night so we went down to the jetty so the kids could get wet before heading home today. This is a close up of the Venus Bay jetty. I love the colour of rust and it is everywhere on the jetty.

Camped at the beach again today, the kids had a little wander down this path to the water to chase the pelicans. They loved staying at the caravan park with all the friendly old people. The people next to us made yummy banana cake which they shared with the kids.

"Upon us all a little rain must fall"
So much water around today, over the fence someone had stacked some old milk crates under the overflow of a rainwater tank. We stayed inside mostly and made gingerbread men. It's still raining now. There is nothing quite like the sound of rain on an old tin roof .

Banana & Choc Chip Muffins {Stephanie Alexander}
150g choc chips
150g mashed or chopped bananas
220g SR flour
1/2 cup castor sugar (I used normal white sugar and turned out fine)
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
3/4 cup vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 180C. Grease muffin tins well with melted butter. Mix flour, castor sugar and choc chips. In a seperate bowl combine milk, eggs, oil and mashed banana, whisk lightly.
Make a well in the centre of dry ingredients, pour in liquid and mix lightly. Spoon batter into muffin tins until 2/3 full, at this point I sprinkle extra choc chips on top! Then bake for 20-25 minutes or until browned on top. Remove tins from oven and turn muffins out onto a wire rack to cool. YUM!!!

This pretty much sums up how I am feeling after a big night out. Flat tyre and rusty gears. Must be getting old!

Today we travelled 2 hours south to the wedding of Sjaana and Nick. The beautiful bride wore a pin on her dress that was over 100 years old, borrowed from her great grandmother.

Sienna is Cameron's twin and when she is concentrating really hard like when she is trying to ride a bike that is way too big for her, she likes to poke her tongue out. Because somehow that helps. The kids had been playing under the sprinkler again while the weather has been warm.

Cameron is my youngest son and twin brother to Sienna. He is nearly two and he loves nothing better than trying to catch the rain in his mouth. We have had a majorly hot week with above 40C temeratures so it was nice to have a bit of rain today for the kids to run around in.

All of my daughters hairties. I wanted to try this idea after seeing it on Flickr done with jellybeans so I grabbed the only colourful things I had at the time and this is the result. Made by using a clear cd case placed over the glass and using a tripod. Would love to try this with a macro lens.
